Youth Symphony changes lives

Youth Symphony musicians play music on stage at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
Steven Murray: "Youth Symphony has a very special place within this community. The first time I went to a Youth Symphony rehearsal, I remember just how amazing it was to see so many young people so dedicated and intent and really there to create beautiful music."

Joesph Fox: "One of my favorite things about the Youth Symphony is, that it’s a very constructive environment. It’s more accelerated so you get better faster."

Sheri Cain: "Right now we’re preparing for the Kauffman performance. We’re getting ready to play on the same stage that our Kansas City Symphony players play on. And I get goose bumps just thinking about it, that our youngest players get to have the same opportunities as professional-level players."

Kirt Mosier: "What inspires me about the students in the Youth Symphony here in Kansas City is the fact that they really work hard. Music makes for amazing individuals."
